Nut (fruit)😋

Image
🥜🌰  Nut ( fruit)🌰🥜 A nut is a fruit consisting of a hard or tough nutshell protecting a kernel which is usually edible. In general usage and in a culinary sense,  a wide variety of dry seeds are called nuts, but in a botanical context " nut " implies that the shell does not open to release the seeds. Most seeds come from fruits that naturally free themselves from the shell, but this is not the case in nuts such as hazelnuts, chestnuts, and acorns,  which have hard shell walls and originate from a compound overy. The general and original usage of the term is less restrictive and many nuts ( in the culinary sense) such as almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts and Brazil nuts are not nuts in a botanical sence.  Common usage of the term often refers to any hard-walled, edible kernel as a nut. Nuts are on energy-dense and nutrient-rich food sourse. Nuts contain the diverse nutrients that are needed for the growth of a new plant. Composition varies, but they tend to hav...

A wonderful dream I had

Image
🧚🏼‍♀️A wonderful dream I had 🧚🏼‍♀️ One night I had a beautiful dream. I finished writing my notes and went to bed let and feel a sleep. Suddenly, I felt that I was in fairyland. There was a big garden. The flowers were blooming. The fairies were singing beautiful songs. One fairy came to me and greeted me with a sweet smile. She offered me a small chair  to sit on and enjoy the dance. Then I saw a little child playing on the flute. He arrived in the midst of the fairies. There were some dwarfs and elves sitting nearby. There was a beautiful river. The Sun was shiny and a cool breeze was blowing. I sat under a shady tree. The tree was laden with fruits. The child brought some fruits for me. Then they again started singing and dancing.it was a beautiful scene. I wake up suddenly while enjoying the fruit and dancing. Mom told me it was too late, get up and go to lectures. Dreams, good or bad, always  have that kind of ending.

What I learned about the Esala Perahara for you too

Image
What I learned about the Esala Perahera for you too... Today, Kandy is famous all over the world for this annual Esala Perahera. Ending the drought season, this festival is a ritual to pay homage to the Tooth Relic to bring rain. Both the Mahanayake Theras and the Diyawadana Nilame are responsible for the protection of the Tooth Relic which was in the custody of the previous Kings. The Mahanayake Thero of Asgiriya Maha Viharaya and the Mahanayake Thero of Malwathu Maha Viharaya are the same. Diyawadana Nilame is the foremost lay official who takes care of the Tooth Relic. Diyawadana Nilame means the officer who increases the water. Since the Tooth Relic has the power to increase water due to rain, the officer in charge of the Tooth Relic is called Diyawadana Nilame.  The Tooth Relic was brought from the Dambadiv plateau by Princess Hemamala and the Tooth Prince. Keerthi Sri Meghawarna alias Kithsiri was the King of Lakdiva at the time.(303 - 331 AD) King Wimaladharmasuriya I...

Mee oya flows to the tune from the end of the village. Our house is located in the only shop in our village. It's my dad's shop. Only my mom and dad and my younger sister are in my house. My older brother lives in Japan. My father is businessman and owns several other small businesses  in addition to the shop. My mother does not work. Literature that gives experience to our lives

Image
Literature that gives experience to our lives... A tree needs water to grow flowers. At the same time, literature is essential for our lives to be nourished by virtue. Literature is a medium that gives a wealth of experience to our lives. What literature does is it delves into the subtleties of how people think and act. Literary elements such as short stories, novels, poems, songs and plays describe that human life. The world is not just dark. And not just light. It's neither the darkness nor the light in the word. Literature clearly shows both the good side and the bad side of the world.  An experience is a new learning gained from what is seen, heard or done. The more experienced people are the wiser ones. But we do not have the sapace to see, hear or do everything in this world. Literature filles that gap. Literature brings us universal experiences. Those who practice literature make that universal experience their own. The knowledge gained from Literature makes man intel...

Water resources that give us life

Image
Water resources that give us life... In any country that inherits a beautiful natural environment, that country's water resources countribute to its beauty. Water resources are a fundamental factor in the origin and survival of life. Therefore, water is essential for all living things, including humans. Due to this importance, the United Nations has declared March 22 as "International Water Day". Named the Blue Planed, it is said to have been likened to the divine nectar of water resources. But 97% of the blue planet's water bodies are in the oceans and seas. About 2.4% of the remaining water is ice and groundwater. Accordingly, although the amount of water in oceans, seas, lakes, rivers and lakes is very large it is said that only 0.1% of it can be utilized.  No matter how precious the water resources are, the water resources are being destroyed due to various wrong human activities. The first is the felling of trees. Trees are an essential factor in activating the w...
